NEW TECHNOLOGY CAPTURES THE EYES OF NATIONAL PUBLICATION
Engineering News-Record (ENR) Features Pottstown Based Business’s 3D Reality Modeling Products
(Pottstown, Pennsylvania) – CEDARVILLE Engineering Group, LLC (CEDARVILLE), is excited to be featured in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) national publication. This growing team of professionals is challenging conventional survey methods by gathering GPS tagged imagery to generate 3D Reality Models that allows users to visualize and measure topography and ground conditions for planning and design purposes. Using a federally registered Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), a DLS camera, control points and proven work-flow, the team is forging new ground for planners, engineers, and designers.
The project in the City of Coatesville is the official launch of this technology by CEDARVILLE. The article describes an environmentally sensitive and challenging thirty-acre brownfield site in Coatesville, Pennsylvania that the City officials are marketing for development as an economic redevelopment opportunity. The model presents a birds-eye view complete with reliable field data that provides a strategic advantage in developing a prospectus for investors.
“Using the most innovative tools in technology, we have developed a process that efficiently creates three-dimensional scalable models with precision and accuracy. Reality Modeling is where infrastructure of the future begins.” says April M. Barkasi, P.E., President & CEO of CEDARVILLE. This technology is expected to be used by government authorities, engineering, architectural, and construction firms, to help determine the planning and development of roadways, bridges, utility expansion, and industrial or commercial sites.
