September 22, 2017 – (Pottstown, PA) – The Delaware Valley Green Building Council hosted its 2017 Groundbreaker Awards in the Atrium at 1900 Market Street Tuesday night, September 19, 2017.

The project winner of the Groundbreaker Award was The Whitehall.  Mission First Housing Group has renovated the existing historic Whitehall Inn in Spring City, PA, and constructed a new addition to create 48 permanent supportive housing apartments for veterans in need. The project was developed in response to a local need for housing for at-risk veterans.

CEDARVILLE’s staff provided on-going Construction Administration Support services during the construction phase of the project including:

• preparation for and attendance at the pre-construction meeting
• review of all construction submittals against final project site plans
• review and response to all Requests for Information (RFI’s)
• investigated and assisted in resolving field problems
• review change orders
• review payment application requests

CEDARVILLE provided on-going coordination with Pennsylvania-American Water Company and the project Architect regarding incorporating the water meter pit into the construction plan set.

CEDARVILLE provided NPDES required BMP Construction Oversight during the Critical Stages of construction indicated on the approved NPDES Plan and Permit. Reviewed the as-built/record drawings prepared by the contractor for certification and inclusion with the Notice of Termination to be filed with the PADEP and Chester County Conservation District.
