With 21 years of professional experience, April M. Barkasi is the founder, President, and CEO of CEDARVILLE Engineering Group, LLC.

We asked April what her favorite project was.  She told us:

Before her time at CEDARVILLE, one of her favorite projects was the Ford Motor Company Environmental Master Plan for the Rouge River Plant. At the time, it was a Mustang plant, but now it houses the assembly line for F150s. For her, consulting with a team for the Fortune 500 company at their world headquarters in Detroit was exciting and intimidating at times! She designed and managed the construction of a porous pavement parking lot that served as the storage lot for the brand-new Mustang right off the test track. Although they were skeptical of the technology before construction, the plant managers loved the porous lot after it was built because it never needed to be plowed or salted - the open stone surface drained and held a warmer temperature.

A fun fact about April is if she hadn't made it in engineering, she would be a professional poker player!
