Carol has over 30 years of professional engineering experience, with the last 22 years in municipal engineering. Her expertise includes municipal ordinances, stormwater management, capital improvement projects and construction contract development. She is proficient in the review of Land Development and Subdivision submissions relative to zoning, subdivision, municipal ordinances, and other state and federal regulations.

When asked about her favorite project, Carol said, “The best part of being a municipal engineer is this: the challenges are different every day. We serve alongside dedicated community officials and our job is find creative ways to solve problems while minimizing the burden to taxpayers. Those problems can be failing roads, collapsing bridges, dangerous flooding, regulatory requirements, community revitalization, popular or unpopular development proposals, sanitary sewer overflows, traffic problems, and more. I have been doing this work for decades, and still learn something new every month of the year.”

Carol also has a passion for horses. She tells us, “I took a year after college to work for a show barn with famed horse trainers. I bought a stallion during that year, then bought a farm in 1998. Thanks to that stallion and his offspring, I have been breeding and showing horses for many years. Our first foal was featured on the cover of a national magazine!”
